About the Julia Domna Earrings
In 180 AD, an ancient prophecy foretold that young Julia Domna would marry the future emperor of Rome.
During her life, Julia was the most powerful empress, receiving the most titles and dignities, and was considered the mother of the Caesars, of the armies, and of the homeland. She was also known as the philosopher empress for her ability to govern with intelligence and overcome the political betrayals that spread in a male-dominated world.
Lucius Septimius Severus, a provincial governor, married her when he heard of the prediction and became the first emperor of the Severan dynasty. History was not wrong, and we suspect that is when the phrase was coined: "For self-interest, I love you A̶n̶d̶r̶é̶s̶ Julia." 👩❤️💋👨💔
